I haven’t blogged since 2009.11.16… The reasons for this are simple:

I don’t like it: it is time-consuming, I would love to do something else on Sunday afternoons.
I lost my blog assignments: I don’t know what to blog about! (Some will say “Just use you imagination.“)

I will try to find something interesting to blog about in the next days, but, waiting for that moment, here is the video of a guy who’s everywhere on the internet:

Now that I’m done with correcting “at least one mistake on at least three of your colleagues’ blogs”, I can proceed to the second part of today’s assignment: “find at least two blogs out there that you find interesting”.

First one: FailBlog.org . This is not a personal blog. It describes itself as “Fail, Owned and Pwn moments in pictures and videos. Share fails, pwns, and owns with the world on FAIL Blog.”

I really like that blog, it is wonderful when you have some time to kill. What I like the most on this site is the caption at the bottom of each page, the one that you see when you finished watching an entire page of fails: “But wait! There’s more fail!“

This one is not as fun as failblog. It is the blog of a guy who’s writing a 3d game engine: Raydium. It’s mainly in French with some posts in English (the technical ones) and it talks about vehicle dynamics, ODE, multi-touch screens made with wiimotes, etc… Some posts are really interesting if you like game development.

“Imagine you are stuck on a desert island and can only have 8 songs, 1 book, and a luxury item with you… what would they be?”

At first, I think that if I was stuck on a desert island I would have other priorities than discs and luxury items. I would bring things that can help me to survive.

To answer the question:

My luxury item would be a computer or a CD player (quite useful for playing discs) and a lot of batteries or some kind of dynamo to make it work.

My book would be something like “Survive on a desert island with only a CD player and 8 discs”.

And there is a list of songs I would take with me:

Again, I’m in class and I must post something on this blog. This time it must be a “funny or favourite video” and I must explain why I posted it.

This is a russian commercial of Kaspersky (the antivirus editor). It is a parody of George W. Bush dodging a shoe that an Iraqui journalist is throwing at him. It is in russian but you don’t need to understand what the man is saying to enjoy the video (he is just praising the quality of his Kaspersky antivirus).

My first xmoto level

Yesterday, my first xmoto level was validated! There will soon be a thumbnail here. Xmoto is a really addicting motocross game (see http://xmoto.tuxfamily.org). My first level’s name is LineRider like the flash game of the same name. It is a parcour in the same world that LineRider: black lines on a white background with the main character of the game.

Welcome to my blog. I’m a french student and this blog “will count for a considerable portion” of my English mark. I don’t really like to talk about myself, especially in public places like there and I have no idea of what the content of this blog will be.

Now, I’m in class, in front of a screen and an instruction sheet telling me how to create a blog. And after “a) a short introduction to yourself”, there is “b) five things you’d like to accomplish within the next five years ”, so there it is:

get rich
get a good mark in English
delete this blog
find a last thing to add to this list

Remember that I don’t really want to write about myself, so most of the things I will say here won’t be serious.
